Responce to Meghan

In Meghans blog she talks about Plato's ideal society and how he excludes artists, poets, and musicians. I don't think he necessarily didn't include them because anyone can be an artist of any sort. I think that even in Plato's time, that making it as any kind of artist would have been hard. So they would have had to do their art on the side while they were a police officer, doctor, or whatever their main source of income is. I don't think he intentionally excluded them but just meant that they couldn't make it with out having another profession.
